Adoption Process

A Legacy of Care with the Russian Blue Breed

At Polaris Blue Cattery, we bring a decade of dedicated experience to the breeding and care of purebred Russian Blue kittens. As a small, select cattery, we focus exclusively on this exceptional breed, ensuring the highest standards of health, temperament, and longevity through careful pedigree study and ethical breeding practices. Each kitten is placed under a comprehensive adoption agreement to safeguard their wellbeing.

Healthy, Well-Bred Lineages

We breed only two to three litters per year, maintaining a strong emphasis on quality over quantity. Our foundation sires are imported from Poland, and our queens descend from robust Hungarian and Russian bloodlines. Every kitten is raised within our home environment—not in cages—and is ready to join their permanent families between 13 and 14 weeks of age.

All kittens are microchipped, fully vaccinated, desexed, and come with an adoption contract outlining health guarantees and owner responsibilities. Kittens also come with TICA registration. Upon adoption, new owners receive our Guide to Raising a Russian Blue, available both digitally and in print.

For families residing in Auckland, we offer direct home delivery. Your kitten will travel safely in their own carrier and arrive with a starter pack that includes a one-week supply of food, favorite toys, a health passport, TICA paperwork and veterinary certificates issued by our trusted veterinarian.

If you’d like to welcome a Polaris Blue Russian Blue kitten into your home, we encourage you to complete our inquiry form and join our waiting list for upcoming litters.
